So in my spare time (HA!) I’ve been debating taking some kind of class and learning to play a musical instrument. I’ve read studies that indicate certain portions of the brain in children under 12 years of age are more developed than the brains in children who do not play an instrument. The studies also say the changes in the brain are permanent as that particular portion is more developed. So it makes perfect sense to me that if I learned to play in instrument, say a Alesis q88 I would end up with better developed portions of my brain. Because even if the brain is only slightly more developed in a grown adult, I think it cannot hurt. Plus, I've always wanted to learn to play something, keyboard, drums, guitar, etc.
I'll be a more well rounded individual. Who knows, maybe I posses some unknown talent and this whole law school gig will be forgotten like a bad dream.

Back to Basics
I've got so much going on right now with school and work and the kids.
But I miss the simple things like blogging and telling all you wonderful people about the variouscrap stuff, new products, recipes, etc, I try on a weekly basis. Some good. Some not so much. I could be sparing so many of you the pain of trying the not so good stuff if I'd only blog about it.
So starting today, I'm getting back to basics.
Today, I'm trying this nectarine at my desk. I'll let you know how that turns out.

Sometimes I wanna be a rock star. Literally.
The closer I get to graduating, the more I start paying attention to the ridiculous amounts of student loans I have to pay upon graduation and then I start freaking out a little about what if I don’t pass the bar and then I’ve gone through the last four years of hell only to be in debt up to my eyeballs and still not have a law degree when I’m done. Then, when those thoughts creep into my head, I start thinking how much fun it would be to just throw in the towel, sell everything, buy an electric guitar and an ht-5r at guitar center and hit the road as a wanna be rock star! I’m sure I could totally pull that off and keep feeding my kids and the dogs too. Totally.
Getting my ducks in a row
I’m going to graduate in nine months. Then, should the planets align and the force be with me, I will pass the Bar and become a real life attorney. And at that point, I shall begin the marketing of myself and my wicked awesome skills like no other. And I’m going to need to have quite a few ducks in a row at that time. I’ve already got employment but I will need things like business cards, a web page address, maybe a client or two, etc. I’ve been looking at a few places that provide wholesale business cards printing so I can have pre-attorney “I’m a candidate for the 2014 Bar, keep me in mind cards" made up. There is plenty to do right now. Plenty! That said, I might just enjoy the fact that I have no actual classes to attend the rest of this month….
