I've been banned from Cold Stone
And rightly so probably. Because I buy (weekly) a "Love it" size of Cold Stone's Coffee Lovers Only. It costs around $7 dollars and I eat it over three days. That doesn't count the additional near ten bucks I pay for the dramas' ice cream concoctions.
Hello, my name is Stella. Today I have been 17 days ice cream free (sorta).
Anyway, I was having serious withdrawals but I've been strictly forbidden "to spend that kind of money on ice cream."
Because clearly he does not understand. I mean coffee costs over ten bucks a pound right now. What if I told him he can't drink it anymore because it costs too much? that'd fly like a lead balloon.
Anyway I was having withdrawals and then I had a brilliant idea:
I'd make my own coffee lovers ice cream!
I bought 1/2 gallon of coffee flavored ice cream. I bought six Heath bars. I bought one small bag of chopped almonds. I already had caramel syrup here.
I chopped and mixed and re-froze. Then I waited.
Then I ate.
And it was even better than the previously named ice cream parlor that I love(d). Why was it better?
1/2 gal. coffee flavored ice cream: $2.79;
6 Heath candy bars: $3.16 (they were buy 2, get 1 free); and
1 sm bag almonds: $1:89
2 Tbs caramel syrup (apx. $0.38)
Total price: $8.22.
Even better: I have over 1/2 gallon (64 ounces) of ice cream versus the 10 ounces I get for roughly the same price at Cold Stone. And that's going to last me much longer than three days!

Kitchen Carts and Islands - I need one (or the other)
I have been debating a project in my kitchen; a huge project that will make my husband’s eye twitch. I really need more work space in my kitchen. I keep coming back to kitchen carts and islands. Late at night, I will sit and ponder exactly how I could manage a kitchen cart or island of some type - and make it work with the limited space. I think of all the Christmas candy and cinnamon rolls and bread and cookies that I could make! I think of how much easier big family dinners would be if I could lay them out buffet style. Or even a Breakfast Bar - oh the joy!
I would really like to add a permanent kitchen island but I do not think I have the room for that due to the way my kitchen is laid out. Then I thought about one of those rolling kitchen carts that I could roll out and then tuck back out of the way when I was done. The only problem I have with that is that I don’t really have anywhere to roll it back out of the way. I have managed to utilize every single square inch of space I have in this house.
When we moved here from Utah, I said I wanted an island in the kitchen of our new house. We looked at easily a hundred houses and I kept coming back to this one. It is a cottage style with a kitchen nook that I absolutely love. So much so that I convinced myself that I could live without the kitchen island, since I’d lived without one for so many years before. What is it they say about hindsight?

Online Coupon Sites and Savings
Some of these coupon links will take you to a page where you can print your own grocery coupons. Some will offer online saving codes or coupons.

I print my coupons every Saturday morning so I can shop that afternoon. I save, on average, $30 to $50 per week just using coupons that I print. When I add in my store shopper card, I can get my total savings to at least $100.

Upromise is a site I have been a member of for years.

I've registered my store cards with Upromise, as well as bank cards I use. I earn money for using my bank cards at shops and restaurants, I can also print grocery coupons and add coupons directly to my store cards. The best thing about Upromise, in my opinion, is that I earn money that goes directly toward my student loan payments. According to the Upromise site members
