I've had the longest week ever. I'm not feeling the job or the chores or the kids or anything else that involves my lifting my ass off the couch and doing anything.
I think it's fair to say I'm in a funk...

Needing a Change
I’ve been debating a remodel of my kitchen. I was trolling over at http://www.kitchens2go.net and that got me really wanting a kitchen makeover. Not a huge one, but I really hate my cabinets. They’re plain and have absolutely zero character. I want new ones. Made of Wormy Maple if possible. If not, then I don’t know what. Not Hickory. I think that is overrated. But something new to spiff up my kitchen and make my beautiful Cappuccino colored granite sink with the brushed brass faucet look even sexier.

Neglected
I've neglected this blog something fierce. I could tell you all about the fascinating areas of law I'm learning, and how that sucks up every ounce of free time I have when I'm not obsessing about work, but that would probably bore you as much as it bores me!
I could tell you about the people you meet in law school and how you'll be life long friends, and by life long friends, I mean you will want to stab them all in the eye with a machete by graduation.
Or I could tell you that I read the new John Grisham book, Sycamore Road and how much I enjoyed it and I felt like I was catching up with old friends because the cast of characters is the same as in A Time to Kill. And how I hope this is not just a sequel but rather, another story in (hopefully) a long line of books featuring Jake Brigance!
But I couldn't do a book review justice right now. Maybe when my brain relaxes a little more. Because right now, a blog entry would be more like a word dump and that wouldn't benefit anyone. Except maybe me.

Music Gifts for this Holiday Shopping Season
My nephew, I think I have mentioned him before, I think I have outfitted most of his band gear during the last couple of years. And I a pretty sure that is why he comes to me with his newest wants and “needs.” Like for instance, the mic mechanic that he simply must have because he is very serious about making it big and to do so he needs the right equipment. I told him he also needs a YouTube channel but so far he isn’t listing on that one…
