Playing it Smooth with Schick

When I was approached by Mom spark Media regarding a campaign for razors, I was all over it. You see, and this is slightly embarrassing, I have hairy legs. I know. It’s shocking. But the sad/embarrassing part is that my legs have hair like Sasquatch. Dark. Coarse. Thick. I literally have to shave every day. Wanna hear a secret? My husband nicknamed me “magilla” in the early days. In part because of how fast my hair grows, but also because he seems to think I have the perfect feet for swinging in trees. Boys. They’re silly.

I will tell you this: I get five o’clock shadow on my legs, which made it really hard back in the day to have a sleepover and remain hairless for the 24 hour period. Just sayin.

In the spirit of full disclosure, I usually use a man’s razor. I find the blades last longer and they are slightly wider that most women’s razors thus covering more area in less time. Also they seem to shave closer than typical women’s razors that I have tried. However, one of the things I said I would do more of in 2011 was trying new things. That said, this time I tried the Shick Quattro women’s razor.

I’m glad I did.

The shave was close and smooth. My legs felt soft afterward. Instead of five o’clock leg shadow I made it through the night without poking my husband in the shin (it’s happened. I’m not proud).
I can’t speak to how long these razors will last, because I only got them and tried them out yesterday. However, I will keep you posted on that.
