I miss the good old days...
Back in the day, when I was younger and much more full of life, I did a lot of things for myself. Like once I changed my thermostat in my car all by myself. Then another time I changed the water pump, again by myself. And when I ran over something really super big on the freeway, and it ripped off part of my muffler, I knew how to crawl under the car and reconnect it until I could save the money to have it fixed by a professional. Oddly, none of those things impressed the guy I was dating at the time. Now days, I would be lost under the hood of a car. They don’t even have carburetors anymore. And I have no idea what a cam follower is, does or where it goes. :o/

I sense a remodel coming on...
I think it is time to finally update my bathrooms. I have two in this house, my master bath, and the bathroom that the teenagers and all guests use. I have wanted to get some really nice faucets installed, and perhaps change out my master bath/shower area so that the shower can hold a person who is larger than a size ZERO! Honestly, I don’t know who designed my master bath but they weren’t thinking in the real world because I have a whole 4x4 section of unused, useless space in there, yet I cannot lean back in my bath and submerge myself without my feet and knees sticking out.
I have always been in love with a beautifully simple yet elegant faucet in a bathroom. Luckily for me, I found a brand that just might fit my rather higher end needs. It is the Waterworks bathrooms line and they have some tub fittings that really have me mesmerized. Now I just need to find the time to get a remodel underway. That’s the kicker I’m thinking. Because really, you can only do so much with new bath rugs and towels.

I take care of it, it takes care of me
I have leather furniture. For two reasons. A) it holds up great under kids and dogs and inlaws; and B) it does not smell like dogs. And let me just tell you, when you have dogs the size of humans, who think the couch belongs to them and that said couch is their personal place to lay and stretch out and relax after a very hard day of protecting the house and sniffing stuff, you furniture might start to smell like your dogs. I’ve never had a problem with dog smell in leather furniture. But, you must take care of said furniture. And you must condition your furniture because trust me, its easier to condition and clean and keep your furniture than it is to buy new furniture because you can’t afford the cost of leather repair.
