Legal Translation on a Global Scale

Having worked in the legal industry for 20 years now, one thing I have noticed is the trend against using certified court reports to perform legal translations.  In the old days, one would find a certified court reporter that spoke the language being translated and that person would be hired to translate the document. One regret I have is that I didn't stick with Spanish after I learned it in my early days. I would have been that much more marketable.

Now days, there are services that specialize in such translation of legal documents, such as contracts, wills, trusts, and settlement agreements into another language.  I have family in the UK and apparently these companies are huge over there.  It is also my understanding that there is quite a market for translation given the global economy we’re living in.

So, if you are in the need for some legal translation, whether you are a corporation, legal firm or small company, there is indeed a market to service your very need.  Shop around, find someone reputable, and get references.  Just like any other job you’re hiring out, you want someone  who is good at what they do and preferably someone who specializes in the field you’re in.

Conditioning Cleanser

So. I moved from the scorching desert back to a more humid climate and yet and noticed my hair was looking very dry and brittle. I don't really use heat on it so I was surprised. I decided it needed a deeper condition to re-adjust to Utah.

I was reading an article about cleansing conditioner and thought that was the magic trick to bring my hair back to life.  It was conditioner with a mild detergent so your hair would be free of harsher chemicals.  Bingo!

I bought Pantene Cleansing Conditioner.  I've always had good luck with Pantene products.  And I tried it for a whole week.  And my hair was very silky and soft.  Except that I also looked like a homeless person with an exceptional wardrobe and great shoes.

Because here is what they don't tell you:  if you have thin hair, or limp hair, or oily hair or anything that isn't full bodied - thick hair, you're hair will look like you haven't washed it for a week.

I thought it was odd that the instructions said "for a deep clean, use regular shampoo every three days."

I thought the point was to avoid using the "regular" shampoo full of harsh chemicals, etc.

Anyway, after one week I went the route of using a mild shampoo every other day and the conditioning cleanser on the odd days.  Except I'm trying to avoid washing my hair every day because that just creates more oil.  So I now wash my scalp with a mild shampoo and use the cleansing conditioner on my hair ends and tips.

So far so good.

Holiday shopping ideas

In following up on my last post, if you have a musician in the family, or you are a musician, and you're looking for stuffs to add to your own personal arsenal, you should do some online shopping.  or at the very least Send for our free catalog. ("Our" as in "their") catalog. It's where I've gotten a few things for my daughter and my nephew and it is an online shop where I've educated myself more than once.  The holidays and gift giving seasons are upon us.  Start early.  Avoid the rush.

GC Pro Music Stuffs

I’ll be honest, I don’t even know what a GC Pro is.  But, when my nephew, the self-proclaimed musician in our family starts talking “shop” I tend to make notes and then look things up so I can coherently converse with the young man.  Plus, it makes me the cool aunt.  I don’t understand half of what that kid has amassed and/or assembled for his band, but I can tell you this, he’s got quite the arsenal and I hope that one day he either makes it big or has a blast with his hobby.

I tried some Oz products, and I really liked them!

I was asked to review two skin products and given my age and the fact that I should have been moisturizing and massaging and taking care of it since my early 20s (but did not) I was all over the opportunity.

OZ Naturals Hyaluronic Acid Serum For Skin (Clinical Strength Anti Aging Serum - Best Anti Wrinkle Serum With Vitamin C + Vitamin E) could actually be called a A Facelift In A Bottle becuase it really does plump and hydrate and fill in fine lines and wrinkles. I was skeptical at first, because I'm not really into taking care of my skin like I should and I started in my 40s when I should have started in my 20s. So I have some damage to undo. I've always been faithful to sunscreen on my face, but that is about it.  I'm not going to lie, I nearly look my age.  I've been using this product in conjunction with the Oz Vitamin C Serum for about a month now and I must admit, I can see the changes on my skin. My skin tone is better, I have completely stopped wearing foundation because my skin looks so good. I use this product at night, under my other moisturizer. One thing I have noticed is that my skin tone is better, a little tighter than before and some of the finer lines have disappeared. I've now made this a regular part of my evening routine and I doubt I'll ever stop. Even my teenagers have commented on my skin, and they never notice anything!

I'm also using the OZ Naturals Vitamin C Serum For Your Face (Organic Vitamin C + Amino + Hyaluronic Acid Serum- Clinical Strength 20% Vitamin C with Vegan Hyaluronic Acid). And I can honestly see the changes and my overall skin tone and appearance is much better. Being in my mid 40s, I have started to notice some fine lines around my eyes and lips and one great thing about this product is that it plumps up my skin almost so those little lines all but disappear. I use this product in the morning after I wash my face and I think my skin feels so much better during the day. I've always had an oily T zone and I find I have less oil at the end of the day. My pours are also appearing smaller. I am very impressed with this product and I do believe I will keep in my arsenal of products.

So there you go, two reasonably priced products (sold on Amazon.com) that seem to actually work. I'm impressed.  I really am.
